PEOSYM began not as a brand, but as a personal search - for a feeling, a memory, a moment that could be held.
Founded by Purvi Joshi, an Indian creative now based in Sydney, PEOSYM crafts fragrances that explore the quiet poetry of everyday life. Each perfume is a reflection on fleeting moments, transformed into a carefully composed sensory story.
PEOSYM stands for 'Personal Expression Of Stories, Yearnings & Memories'—our definition of art. Like any art form, it is about sharing a perspective and inviting interpretations, with our products serving as the medium.
At its heart, PEOSYM is about connection: between memory and imagination, culture and craft. Our fragrances carry the subtle influence of India’s rich heritage while embracing the contemporary craft and sustainability ethos of Australia.
Philosophical Storytellers.
We don’t believe a scent can hold the same meaning for everyone, nor do we subscribe to the idea that fragrance can prescribe emotion.
Unlike sight, smell moves directly through the limbic system, touching memory and emotion before it is rationalised. What we feel in response to a scent does not come from the fragrance alone, but from what already exists within us - our memories, associations, and lived experiences.
Creation Process.
Each PEOSYM creation begins with observation, rather than translating a singular idea into scent. We spend time researching and exploring a concept across different forms of art and expression.
We work in collaboration with expert perfumers from houses like Firmenich, giving these ideas shape and tangible form - artistic intent becoming wearable art.
Each scent is composed with the intention not to dictate a feeling, but to create space-environments where personal meaning can emerge, and where each wearer may find their own quiet resonance.

Born from Indian heritage and brought to life in Australia, our fragrances honour the depth, warmth, and subtlety of the traditions that shaped them, while embracing the craft and curiosity of our Sydney studio. Each of our creations is a quiet celebration of the stories, memories, and values passed through generations and discovered through life’s experiences.
Commitment to Craft and Sustainability
We are deeply mindful of the environmental impact of fragrance creation. Our perfume oils are crafted in collaboration with world-renowned houses like Firmenich, while the rest of our production takes place in professional and responsible facilities right here in Australia. Our packaging is designed to be biodegradable and recyclable wherever possible, and kept minimalistic by avoiding unnecessary layers. At PEOSYM, we believe that mindfulness, in craft, materials, and every small decision, is the truest form of luxury.

Social Responsibility
A portion of our sales goes towards supporting Shanti Bhavan, an organization that provides comprehensive education to underserved children in India. Their work breaks the cycle of systemic poverty by offering long-term educational support, from preschool through advanced degrees. As we continue to grow, we intend to support more humanitarian causes that resonate with our values, including education for underprivileged communities, Doctors Without Borders, and women’s empowerment.
